Gotta’ get more comfortable in the “maintenance” period

Today….recovery….ahhhhhhhhhhhh. (Just several hours of walking and stairs wherever it was an option.)

Food? Just 285 grams of mostly raw beef.

Bodyweight was down 1.4kg today….and I slept very well last night. I like that combo!!

Today I just still feel “less lean” than I did last week. Should that matter? No. I don’t want to weigh as little as I did last week….so why should I feel as “lean” if I weigh more? Sheesh…..that’s common sense….and yet I can’t seem to get comfortable with it…..yet.

Refeed thoughts….I don’t think that mega fatting on nuts is doing anything for me except satisfying some silly craving for…..well….nuts. If “fat” is what I need….I’m better off eating raw beef fat. I know this. And so, unless the purpose of refeeds is to periodically add carbs to the mix…..I just don’t need ‘em. That said, I believe I do need them….since I do believe that the purpose should be to use them as carb heavier meals.

But….what should the source of carbs be? I did the fresh market survey today again…..walking around and getting a sense of how my body reacted to the thought of eating each different type of carb. The things that I didn’t get a good feeling from……greens, nuts, most fruits. The things that I did get a good vibe from…..pumpkin (what’s that all about?), broccoli, garlic, artichoke, eggplant, zuchinni, and durian fruit.

So….for now….plan is to eat those at next refeed….and to round the meal out with lean, mostly raw seafood, and an as of yet undetermined fat source to blunt the insulin spike from the carbs.

I think that three refeeds in a row with 200grams of nuts in each has not been smart…..and I can “feel” a bit more fat on my belly….I think. (The other theory is that it’s just an reexpansion of my stomach from the more frequent refeeds that all include at least 3000 grams more food than my non refeed days do……but I don’t want to hide behind this theory…..meaning, I don’t want to ignore true new bodyfat if that is what it is.)

When is next refeed? As early as tomorrow…..Friday at the latest.
